The girls have loved going on nature walks to see all the different changes that Spring brings. They love seeing all the birds and wondering where their nests might be. We got to watch a dove build a nest under an eaves of our building. They were spellbound watching it pick up grass, twigs, and straw and take it up to the eaves. We have also been talking about blooming things and discussing what our favorite plants are. When we asked the girls what their favorite thing about Spring was these were their responses:
-Bunnies and baskets for eggs
-Picking leaves up and holding ladybugs. Ladybugs and bees are nice!
-The flowers - purple and pink and they grow!
-Playing outside in warm weather and sunny and honeybees.
-Spring rain and bird's nests and playing outside on the playground
-Picking flowers for Mommy
-Rain and bird's nest and sunny
-Rainy days and flowers
Here are some pictures of how the girls have been working on some of their favorite things about Spring!
I have been a teacher at Hutchison for 28 years. This is my 6th year as a teacher in the Little Hive. It is so fun watching these girls grow and love to learn.
